Music Program
K - 5th Grade Music Program at Graystone
Students in TK through Fifth grade participate in weekly music instruction provided by the Almaden Academy of Music. Students have music once a week for 30 minutes with AAM’s director, Hannah Fuerst. All classes will prepare and perform 2 concerts per year, and 4th grade follows a progressive recorder curriculum. Each class develops age-appropriate musical skills such as reading rhythms, notes on the staff, technique on various instruments, expressive movement, and music appreciation. We appreciate the generosity of the Graystone Home and School Club in providing the funding to support music at Graystone.
AAM is excited to offer band (grades 4-5), orchestra (grades 3-5), and percussion ensembles (K-2 and grades 3-5) onsite after school as well beginning in Fall 2023.
